Access to PALS

LASERLAB

PALS is a member of the LASERLAB-EUROPE consortium, which provides support to researchers in the field of high-power laser science since 2008 within the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission.

For the period June 2012 through December 2013, the participating laboratories offer opportunities for research teams from EU members or associated states to gain access to individual major laser infrastructures. Access is granted on the basis of proposals reviewed by an external panel of referees. Interested researchers are requested to contact the Project Coordinator at the respective facility to obtain more detailed information.

Call 2012-13: Applications are invited for European Access to beam time at the PALS facility for the period January 2013 – December 2013.
Deadline for applications: The call for projects for the period January 2013 – December 2013 is CLOSED

Please note that these applications should go under LASERLAB-EUROPE Proposal Submission website (for the electronic proposal submission tool you need to click the CONTINUE button on the right bottom part of the page).

HiPER preferential access

Applications are invited for beamtime relating to the project of HiPER facility, proposed in the European Roadmap for Research Infrastructures. Submitted projects should address the physics of inertial fusion, especially of the fast-ignitor scheme, as well as development of new diagnostics and of high-density plasma probing techniques.

The access to PALS comes along with similar opportunity at CLF/Vulcan and LULI in offering access time to experimental projects in the context of HiPER.

For applications please follow the instructions issued by the HiPER WP10 Board in the CALL FOR EXPERIMENTAL PROPOSALS WITHIN THE HiPER PROJECT.
