The British Prime Minister David Cameron and the Czech Prime Minister Petr Nečas visited the Research Centre PALS today afternoon. They were welcomed by the President of the Academy of Sciences, Prof. Jiří Drahoš, the Director of the Institute of Plasma Physics, Dr. Petr Křenek, govermental plenipotentiary for the ELI project, Prof. Vlastimil Růžička and other leading associates of the Institute of Plasma Physics ASCR, v.v.i., and the Institute of Physics ASCR, v.v.i., accompanied also by the representative of the HiPER project, Dr. Chris Edwards from Great Britain.
The PALS laser celebrates 10th anniversary

The Research Centre PALS organized a festive workshop on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the PALS facility launching.
ELI-PP project

Representatives of the PALS laboratory, Karel Jungwirth and Bedrich Rus, participated at the Meeting of the International Steering Board of the ELI-PP project. The meeting resulted in agreement that further co-operation of the countries participating at the project will be coordinated by the Czech Republic (more information).
