Struktura

Status

Laboratoř PALS je společným pracovištěm Fyzikálního ústavu AV ČR, v.v.i. (FZÚ) a Ústavu fyziky plazmatu AV ČR, v.v.i. (ÚFP), které bylo pod názvem „Badatelské centrum PALS“ zřízeno Smlouvou o sdružení, podepsanou zástupci obou ústavů dne 6. listopadu 1998.

Centrum řídí ředitel, jmenovaný společně řediteli FZÚ a ÚFP. Prvním ředitelem Badatelského centra PALS byl Karel Jungwirth, od roku 2001 Karel Rohlena a od roku 2008 je jím opět Karel Jungwirth.

Badatelské centrum PALS je klíčovým pracovištěm „Výzkumného centra laserového plazmatu“, podporovaného v létech 2000-2011 z prostředků programu „Výzkumná centra“ MŠMT.

Laboratoř PALS byla od svého založení součástí evropské sítě laserových pracovišť s názvem LASERNET a prostřednictvím FZÚ je od ledna 2004 členem Konsorcia evropských laserových infrastruktur s názvem „LASERLAB-EUROPE„.
